MIAMI – April, 2021 – SOMOS Productions, the production company part of the SOMOS Group, produced the impressive and very well received production of the Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs) for Telemundo, an event that took place last April 15 in Sunrise, FL. The Latin AMAs included two special shows that started with the red carpet and culminated in the award.
The Latin AMAs are a live event that presents a list of Latin music starts, hence this year strict safety protocols were followed to protect the health of all participants, which made production project, already with many demands, even more complex. Besides public health measures (distance and use of masks), the production offered a very attractive scenario and lighting that enhanced the presentations of the Latin talent, including excellent camera management and editing.
The Latin AMAs awards show included musical presentations created exclusively for the event. Among the list of artists on stage who participated were Alaina Castillo, Ana Bárbara, Anitta, Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga, Camilo, Carlos Rivera, Carlos Vives, Carrie Underwood, David Bisbal, El Alfa, Eslabon Armado, Gerardo Ortiz, IamChino, José Luis Rodríguez “El Puma”, Joss Favela, Juanes, Juhn, Karol G, Lenier, Los Dos Carnales, Manuel Turizo, Maluma, Mariah Angeliq, Myke Towers, Natanael Cano, Nicky Jam, Omar Courtz, Piso 21, Ozuna, Pitbull, Ricky Martin, Sofía Reyes, Wisin, Yandel, Yendry and Ziggy Marley.
The award was broadcast simultaneously on the Universo network and in all the Americas by Telemundo International. The three-hour special was hosted for the second time by internationally recognized actress and conductor Jacqueline Bracamontes. For his part, singer Bad Bunny received the most awards, a total of five, including the artist of the year awards, favorite male artist and album of the year. He was accompanied by night winners Karol G and Nicki Minaj with three awards for their song "Tusa".

The Latin AMAs highlighted exciting musical performances in English and Spanish, among them were Sergio Lizárraga's MS Band who showed off a world premiere to celebrate their five nominations, Colombian singer-songwriter Maluma, who sang with Piso 21 in a television premiere. Other great performances were given by Camilo, Carlos Vives, David Bisbal, Gerardo Ortiz, Karol G and Nicky Jam.
