In this film, two somewhat “crazy” Dominican police officers team up with an FBI agent with a completely different personality. Together, they join forces to investigate an international criminal network. The hilarious situations that arise from this combination result in a fun narrative led by Dominican comedy star Fausto Mata, known for films such as Sanky Panky, Detective Willy, and El Plan Perfecto, and winner of multiple Soberano Awards.
The cycle continues Sunday, August 16 with La Caleta, directed by Carlos Julio Ramírez and starring Fernando Solórzano, Lina Castrillón, and Jorge Herrera. In the film, Carlos, a bank manager, is tempted by drug trafficking and quickly becomes a powerful man with access to the lifestyle he always dreamed of. A homeless man eventually discovers Carlos’s hidden stash containing a large sum of money. This discovery, rather than bringing him fortune, leads him into a series of humorous predicaments. On August 23, ViendoMovies presents Asu Mare 3, where Cachín and Emilia, happily married, await the arrival of their first child. Together they plan a trip to Miami with their best friends, Culi and Pamela. A big surprise awaits them when they run into Cachín’s ex‑girlfriend. The film is directed by Jorge Ulloa and stars Carlos Alcántara, Emilia Drago, and Ana Cecilia Natteri. It is the sequel to the two highly successful previous installments.
The comedy cycle concludes with Si Yo Fuera Rico, in which a man whose wife has filed for divorce wins 25 million euros in the lottery and tries to hide it to avoid sharing half of the prize. Directed by Álvaro Fernández Armero and starring Álex García, Alexandra Jiménez, and Adrián Lastra, the film is a remake of the popular 2004 French movie Ah! si j'étais riche, shot in Madrid and Asturias.
