MIAMI, Fl., February 2022 – ViendoMovies, the Spanish-language movie channel owned by SOMOSTV (a company chaired by Luis Villanueva and part of the SOMOS Group), which programs the best exclusive movies, 24 hours a day and without commercial breaks, celebrates this Monday, February 27, the day of the independence of the Dominican Republic. The channel has programmed a special cycle with films from the beautiful island: Pueto Pa’ Mi, Reinbou, Mision Estrella, Pobres Millonarios, Cabarete, Patricia, Carpinteros, Pasao de Libras, La Musiquita por Dentro, Jugando a Bailar, De Pez en Cuando, Veneno, and El que Mucho Abarca.

Starring Denise Quiñones, Julietta Rodriguez and Francis Cruz, and with the special participation of Dominican rappers Mozart la Para and El Mayor Clásico, it is about two young rappers who face difficulties and poverty, but never give up on their dreams and fight for the success.
In the comedy genre, ViendoMovies presents a romantic comedy, El Que Mucho Abarca, which tells the story of Ricardo, who has a monotonous relationship with Valentina. When he decides to deceive her for the first time, problems arise. De Pez en Cuando, with 7 awards won, including Best Film at the World Non-Violent Film Festival. Ben, a frustrated writer has decided to end his life, but when his suicide attempt is interrupted without knowing by his neighbor, his life will be truncated after a series of misadventures that will put his world really legs up. Pa’ Que Me Casé, on the other hand, it presents love affairs and ex -partners, who give possible answers to why there are so many divorces today.
In this cycle of Dominican films, Veneno also stands out, awarded 32 times at the La Silla Awards, an annual award granted by the Dominican Association of Film Industry Professionals. Starring Manny Perez and Pepe Sierra, this action film chronicles the origin and rise of the most famous Dominican wrestler of all time, Rafael Sánchez, aka Jack Veneno, and his archenemy, José Manuel Guzmán, aka Relámpago Hernández. Among the awards are Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor (Manny Perez).
